Dan Butler is a 27 year old High Performance athlete with years of experience and an incredible story. Born in Essex, Dan immediately showed an affinity for all things bikes. Early on his life Dan was diagnosed with Autism and many other mental health issues, but his allowed him to channel everything he was feeling into riding bikes.
Fast forward to when e was 13 years old, Dan contracted Sepsis which resulted in 3 years in hospital and over 20 operations. Ultimately this left Dan with no hip joint and one of the only people in the world with a floating femur.
Like most people, Dan Butler also loves helping others, especially the younger generation. he aims to deliver a message of hope but also perseverance with his motto being ‘Never Give Up’ he perfectly encapsulates the possibilities and capabilities of a human being.
