Lonsdale Villa and Lodge – the North Lakeland’s premier cycling holiday accommodation for group visitors.
There is nothing better than cycling through the beautiful North Lakes countryside, except perhaps coming back to your own exclusive use Victorian manor house afterwards. Being situated on the outskirts of the traditional Cumbrian market town of Penrith, Lonsdale Villa is the ideal home base for cycling clubs and their families. There is plenty of covered storage for your cycling equipment and our trusted partners, Arragon’s cycles of Penrith, are ready to service, clean or repair your cycle during your stay.
Imagine the scene with you and companions returning from your ride, gliding down our leafy lane, and finding yourself somewhere very special indeed. Your group will have sole use of this amazing 8 bedroom Victorian manor house and two bedroom lodge. With its beautiful gardens and individually crafted rooms, this is a boutique accommodation experience like no other.
You will also be in the ideal location to access all the North Lakes has to offer. Choose to explore the Lake District your way, from a simple 30 minute ride to peaceful Ullswater, through to more challenging hilltop cycling routes with spectacular scenery.
For the less energetic members of the group, nearby Penrith offers everything you need, from traditional produce that you will cook later in our fully equipped kitchen, to a day out exploring the shops and enjoying a drink in one of the local pubs to round off a great day. Even though guests often comment on the peace and quiet of Lonsdale, it is surprisingly less than a 15 minute walk from the town.
This is your trip, done your way, so we can also put you in touch with our trusted partners to help with your needs. Whether that is just catering and support for special occasions, through to bespoke experiences such as climbing, trekking and, of course, off road cycling.
Lonsdale Villa and Lodge is the ultimate cycling group friendly accommodation experience. Say goodbye to grey motels and add a little something special to your next cycling group trip.
